Garrido's Coffee & Estates Garrido
The Garrido family began operating coffee plantations in the Boquete region of Panama in the early 20th century, and of the four plantations they currently own, MAMA CATA is a 50-hectare farm located at an altitude of 1,500 to 1,750 meters, cultivating a variety of varieties including Caturra, Catuai, and Geisha. In the traditional category of the 2020 Best of Panama, MAMA CATA MOKKITA won with an unprecedented high score of 91 points for a traditional variety, and in the 2021 Best of Panama, the same MAMA CATA MOKKITA won with a "far-out" score of 92 points, solidifying its brand and recognition.
