Lamastus Family Estates Lamastus
Lamastas produces Geisha at three farms: Elida, El Burro, and Luito. Located at a high altitude in the Boquete region of Panama, this farm has been run by four generations of the family for 100 years and boasts the highest quality and reputation in Panama. The Geisha trees, named Geisha Torre, grown at an altitude of about 1,855 m, are tall and very wild. Only the cherries that are fully ripe to a "burgundy red" color after 8 months are harvested, absorbing the winds blowing from the Caribbean Sea in the north and the Pacific Ocean in the south, the intense sun, and the blessings of the volcanic soil. Elida's Geisha won two BoP categories, Geisha Natural and Washed, in 2018, and recorded a high price of $803 per pound at auction. In 2019, it won the same two categories consecutively and was sold at the highest price of $1,029 per pound.
