Janson Coffee Farm Janson
Founded in 1941 by Swedish winemaker Carl Jansson, this is one of Panama's most prestigious farms, located at an altitude of 1,350 to 1,700 meters in the Volcan region, at the foot of the Baru Volcano.
Janson Farm strives for perfect harmony and balance, and everything from the nutrients in the soil where the coffee is grown to the ecosystem of the natural forest adjacent to each plot is managed by human eyes and hands. The farm also produces its own electricity using 400 solar panels, and protects and utilizes water sources through reforestation, making it its mission to produce coffee that protects and preserves the natural environment.
The coffee produced by the Janson family's firm philosophy and techniques is considered to be in a class of its own among the many specialty coffees in Panama, thanks to the dignity that only the highest quality cherries can have and its crystal, deep, rich aroma.
